So next stop was the economically successful city of Cochabamba. Although it was essentially only a one night stopover on the way to Sucre and therefore not super eventful. While there though I did manage to climb the 3000 or so steps in the beating sun to the Cristo de la Concordia. A large white Christ statue which looms over the city. Afterwards we had some much deserved ice cream that was so delighful. I must also comment that even though I have been greatly disappointed in the lack of beans in Peru and Bolivia the night´s dinner of delicious sushi kinda made up for it. Six of us went in on this sushi boat that they had and it was an enormous wooden boat filled with different kinds of sushi....it was a fun night.
This was followd by an uncomfortable night bus to Sucre during which I didn´t sleep a wink. The road was ridiculously bumpy, the seats were slanted so I kept slipping down and even with the windows open it was like a sauna... so needless to say I arrived to Sucre feeling like a zombie.
