Hello everyone, well its been a couple days since my last entry and quite alot has happened since then. Ben and I are still doing fine. We really do love it here and we're so glad that we've taken the opportunity to come over here for this semester.

Lets see, Friday night we went to a club called Classrooms, it was pretty interesting. We didnt stay so long because my feet were killing me. I had bought a new pair of shoes and they rubbed the back of my heels raw. OUCH!!

Saturday we got up and walked around in town again and Saturday night we just kind of hung out. We made a trip to the grocery store and were quite amazed at how different it was than like our typical Wal-Mart grocery trip at home. It took forever to find the things we were looking for. So I was helping Jo look for a type of sauce and I picked one up and it fell out of my hands and just smashed everywhere. I was so embarassed, I could've just hid in a corner. It wasn't a big deal to them though and I ended up not even having to pay to replace it.We took a taxi back because we all had too much stuff, taxi's are lifesavers.

Sunday was the first day that it was actually raining when we woke up and it rained until the afternoon. We took a trip down to the local Spar (equivalent to a Uni-Mart) to pick up some snacks but it was closed so we had to walk down a couple blocks and afterwards we came back and watched a movie with all of our flatmates.

Yesterday, Ben and I met with our advisor. What a character he is. Ben and I both decided that he reminds us of Mr.Mellott. There is no organization whatsoever. Afterwards Benand I walked into town to do some shopping. We had waited for a taxi for about 5 minutes with all of our bags and then we decided that we'd just try walking back. We got about 3 blocks from our building and it just started pouring out of nowhere. We were soaked!! They're very big on recycling here, so our shopping bags were paper...needless to say we got to the parking lot and handles started ripping out of the bags. We both wished that we wouldve just waited a couple more minutes to try and catch a taxi.

Last night was the opening of our Student Union (yeah there is a pub on campus, how crazy is that??!) You could tell it was just opening though because there wasn't a whole lot going on. Things were much more expensive than we expected so we didn't stay long and came back to the flat and made some food.

Don't worry, Ben and I haven't turned into big drinkers. That is one thing that is so different here, EVERYONE drinks and drinks a lot. It's crazy. But it's just part of their culture, thats been hard for us to get used to.

We're hoping we get finished with our enrollment stuff this afternoon so that we can hopefully travel. There's a holiday Friday and Monday so there's nothing going on. It would be a perfect time for us to get away and explore, so we'll see.

Well I hope everything is well with everyone, we miss you. I'll be writing soon I'm sure.

P.S. They call a grilled cheese a "toastie" here. I thought that was pretty neat.

Time difference
We're 5 hours ahead. :) It's hard getting used to the time, but we're slowly getting adjusted.
