Have a new Internet server at hotel so hopefully the wifi situation is fixed. But now the app I downloaded to do this program has a bug in it so after lots of time, trial and error today I have had to go back to original website to do entries. So check out additional photos on yesterday's entry to see chateau photos and amazing food we had for dinner last night. Ended up going back there tonight with 10 others for another great meal - will have to write a review on Tripadvisor.
The cyclists meanwhile rode out to Chateau Cheverny a loop ride of 48kms where I went yesterday.
I decided to stay in Blois today and visited the Royal Chateau Blois. The chateau combines four distinct wings around a central courtyard, each one corresponding to a distinct period and style. The 19th and 20th century restorations complete the  architectural history of the chateau. The first is the Gothic medieval fortress of 13th century; the second the flamboyant Louis XII wing 1498 - 1501; the third the renaissance Francois 1st wing 1515-1520 and lastly the classicism Gaston d'Orleans wing 1635- 1638. I then had lunch and wandered through a part of the town I hadn't visited before doing a little bit of retail therapy!
When Col arrived back we visited a Museum about the French Resistance movement during the Second World War. Very interesting but very sobering as well. Then it a was beer in a sunny courtyard before back to the hotel for tomorrow's cycle briefing and then out to dinner. Now it's lights out again.

Nice to see that you are getting places visited and things done despite the weather. Love your pics! How many suitcases have your retail therapy trips filled so far, Heather? Keep the posts coming...

Fancy a street named after Colin. Glad you are having a great time regardless of the weather. Drove past your house yesterday and all very peaceful.
