Dear All
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to the next year. It has been about 3 months since I finished 'travelling' and I am just about settling back into London living, trying new strategies to engage with people, like smiling.. which has been met with a mixed reaction but only couple of "who was that mad woman!". I am also trying this technique to cope with an overcrowded rush hour tube, having awoken and struggled out of bed on another cold and dark London morning. I am now working again, having been dragged back into the corporate world, and did hug strangers when my first paycheck cleared!! I am also back in my flat, apartment, in London so if you ever need somewhere to stay.... If I can only repay a quarter of the generousity I encountered in the last year or so I would be happy lass.
I had such an amazing 2006, saw some awesome sites, experienced some weird and wonderful adventures, but mostly it was the people that I met and was able to share those times with that made it so awesome. Thank you to old and new friends for touching my life, influencing and impacting it to make it richer and fuller and making it an unforgettable year. The problem with having friends around the world, is you miss so many people, but I love hearing your news from amongst many: Canada, Costa Rica, America, Botswana, Mozambique, Yorkshire, Germany, other parts of Europe, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.. so please keep in touch. It has also been great to get back and catch up with old friends, meet the new people in their lives, especially their children and reflect on what a privileged life I have.
Here's looking forward to a fabulous 2007 and I wish you all happiness, joy, laughter, fun and adventure. Love and hugs Hess xx More thumbnails ...
