London Calling
Reality bites... I'm back in London, having spent a fantastic, amazing and wonderful 11 months travelling. I met some awesome people, had so many laughs and 'breath-taking' moments. Its now back to the dreariness of finding a job, but I have accommodation, so its not desperate and so far I haven't needed that cardboard box under Waterloo bridge.
Its brilliant to be back with friends who I missed terribly whilst travelling, but I am missing the excitement of new places and new faces.
A HUGE THANK YOU
This trip has reaffirmed my faith in human beings, we are wonderful creatures and we live in a beautiful world. Everyone I met was so generous, warm, kind and friendly opening their homes, hearts and arms to a weary single white female with a rucksack and for that I will always be grateful.
I just want to take this opportunity to thank so many people for taking me in, joining me on trips, looking out for me and keeping me company on my trek around the world. I would like to say especial thank yous to:
The Botswana crew - Melissa, Linda, Jim, Jon, Meg, Erin, Bryn, Esther and other Melissa and sorry I didn't get a chance to see all of you when I was back in the States. Those that I did, it was fantastic to see you all again
Marionette for giving me a contract
Daphers - thank you for your invaluable generousity, warmth and amazing spirit
Ellie and Kebba - thank you for having me in Malawi and for being there on the end of a phone when I went through my only wobble and scary patch.
Lindsay, Kara, Anna, Ben, Tiff and Matt for making Mozambique such a wonderful time and highlight of the trip
Dragi, Lee, Badger, Merryn, Sarah and Abe for showing me around Melbourne and partying with me and providing a bed.
The Bonds - for having me to stay and being so hospitable and kind
Fiona and Sian for keeping me sane in Western Australia
Marcia for showing me a positive side to Perth
Anna, David, Oliver and Hester - for your friendship and generousity and for allowing me to be part of your lovely family
Kelleigh - for having me to stay in New York, for being a great hostess and friend.
To my friends for emailing, texting, phoning and keeping me posted on news, views and fun in London especially to Meg and Rachel for coming and visiting me.
I wish I could mention everyone who touched my life in the last year, you all made it richer and certainly more enjoyable.
Please keep in touch and remember life is for living and enjoying, so get on the ride for its amazing!
