Show trip route
That day there were lots of school graduates walking around town, banging drumsetc and carrying a massive board decorated with portrait photographs of everyone in their class. In this area, the pics tended to be black and white with gals all dolled up and usually hair to one side with profile or side and upwards gaze. guys of course much more relaxed. As we discovered, the boards are displayed in local show windows and there is apparently a competition to see which class has the best board. They were also asking for "donations" for their graduation party fund...
Museums were free entry that day so we went to the Regional Museum and the Technology Museum (which we had trouble finding even tho it was on the main drag). Thereafter sat in a cafe, purportedly the best in town, and enjoyed superb Slovak baking. So tired that night as we didn't sleep too well on the train so just had pizza in the room watching the men's singles at the Hamburg Open on TV!!!!
