So having got to the residence I was met by Horti who, as I had imagined, was one of the nicest people on the planet, probably. She spent an hour with me telling all the rules, things to do etc. She then suggested that I go to sleep. Instead I unpacked in my OCD way and then went to sleep.
I woke up a few hours later and went downstairs and met Julie, 37 from Kent. She was very nice and told me some more things about Cuzco, and her story of trying to volunteer which was quite interesting. Then Lea, 18 from Hamburg, Germany came home and she also seems very nice.
We go out for a meal with thwo other girls who aren't my housemates, and when we get back I go to sleep straight away
The next day we have a tour of Cuzco... Itīs a very interesting place. Some of the buildings are incredibly beautiful, but others are very, very ugly. There are 6 new people including myself, 3 of which become my best friends here. Rafael and Ana from Brasil, and Cecile from Denmark. The rest of that day was fairly uneventful, except I missed my orientation for my volunteering, but Lea, who I am voluteering with says itīs not an issue.
So thatīs that for the first couple of days, just a lot of chilling out (NICE!) and getting acclimatized.
