Where I stayed
In a mini bus from our Phong Nha farmstay to Hue, 5.30 am, no breakfast, and more importantly no coffee in my system yet. You know how that makes me function! I don't often listen to my music, because it makes me too emotional when I am not dancing to it. Now I pulled out my iPhone though, to avoid the chat-eager Vietnamese guy trying to talk to us. He knows a handful of English and my tolerance for content-less conversation at this time of day is non existent. It also helps me tune out the loud mix of Vietnamese and Techno music playing in the bus. (Sorry Manu and Rich, for leaving you to bear the entertaining man.)
As I am reading up on the country's history for the 3rd time (still nothing sticks, as usual I sadly just can't find ANY capacity for historical facts in my brain), it starts to rain
In my earphones: Mika - Any Other World; Say goodbye to the world you thought you lived in.....

Intense to listen to when you are wondering if your regular old life can still work for you after all this time and excitement on the road.
In Hue, Rich and I visit a couple of the impressive King's Tombs while Manu works. Up early again the next day to get to our next stop, Hoi An.
