In my first ever overnight bus trip I sleep more than 8 hours, not counting the attempts to find a comfortable position every 15 minutes. And once again, I am up for sunrise. This time, naturally without an alarm. There is a bit of confusion with my bus ticket with my bus ticket, so it takes me close to 2 hours to get to my cave hostel. That leaves me with no time to do anything but drop my bags then be off to my day tour.

I see an underground city, beautiful landscape and a monastery carved into rocks. Over lunch, my mostly Korean tour-mates are testing my tolerance. Their slurping way of eating is disgusting me quite a bit. Trying to stay accepting of other cultures. But I must say, I much prefer eating with Beduins, who use their hands, over this. When I order two Turkish Coffee for myself BEFORE my meal, the waiter is severely confused. It is my first coffee of the day, so I am needy. At night, the hostel provides BBQ, where I meet other people, mostly Spaniards. One of them is an SEO Expert that worked for Ogilvy (I think) in Madrid (I might have the city and agency confused now). Him and his wife quit their jobs to travel. Go figure ;)! I learn how to get a cork out of a bottle that has been pushed in.

The next morning, before sunrise my driver ask me for my reservation. While I dig it up, he sees my iPhone lying on the table with my email inbox open. He picks it up, making the screen orientation change to sideways, asks me if this is a phone. Annoyed at what I consider boldness, bordering on rudeness to just grab my stuff like this, I respond "Yes, but the reservation is not in there' and take it away from him. He sais "Wow, lx!" Made me laugh and realize yet again what a 'data slut' I am.

My sunrise balloon flight over Kappadokia is just wonderful. Watch the video, I'll save you a description as I couldn't do it justice anyways.

Then I spend the rest of the day online and finally enjoy my first Hammam experience before taking another overnight bus back to Istanbul. A very uncomfortable one with a fat, smelly lady next to me and little sleep. Nevertheless, it was all worth the sights.
