Well we arrived here on Samui around tea time on monday after having to share our taxi from the boat with two mackems! haha. Met up with Vicky, Kev and his mate Ross.the place we are staying is in the north of the island called bangrak, in between bophut and big buddha beaches, its so quiet its amazing. we're not near the touristy town of chaweng which is great cos we basically have a huge beach to ourselves and its beautiful.
had a free bbq on the beach (i tried squid) at our hotel (yes - a luxury HOTEL courtesy of kev as belated birthday present) which is run by a yound Geordie guy called Liam and his Canadian wife Hope, they are so nice, their place is brand new we're the first people to stay tehre and currently the only residents and its just fab! the boys are staying a little further along the beach, bout a 2 min walk.
after all this travelling malarkey we had a couple of lazy days on the beach followed by nice meals on the evening which has been great 'elemental', our hotel

 . Miki joined us on tuesday night, and we went into town (chaweng) drinking - miki was shattered from all the diving so stayed round hotel. bumped into Loic and Sam, 2 Belgians who did their open water course at Crystal with us and had a pretty fun night.
Yesterday we went on a tour of the island which was pretty cool saw all the sights, monkeys farming coconuts - Neil you would of loved it!, elephants, swimming in waterfalls, temples, and giant buddhas. was really cool. went for another nice meal last night, had some VERY spicy crab! but delicious, then went and had some drinks at our hotel and sat chatting to Hope and Liam for ages.
Sooz Ross and Kev have gone off snorkelling on a boat trip today, me and Vix have been chilling out on the beach with Miki and now we're off to a luxury spa. its all very weird to me after slumming it in whatever random hostel we could find for the last 2 months!!anyway, back to bangkok tomorrow for a couple days then onto more luxury staying with Kev - he's even got a bath!!! wow!!! cant wait x
