We're still living it up in the little town of Irkutsk, found "The London Pub" which sold pints of broon ale :) and had some footy on so its all good. It was Australia v Japan like, but beggars cant be choosers! Anyway have had a couple of pretty relaxed days just wandering round the town and stuff, managed to book our train tickets to Ulan Bataar (Mongolia) which leave on Tuesday night.
Tomorrow we're going down to Lake Baikal with Jack who runs the hostel we're staying in. He does guided tours round the area, and we get to stay on a farm with people he knows, food and accommodation provided. Its in a place on the lake that hardly anyone knows about, so will be very peaceful. We're staying on the farm for two nights, and Jack will take us to this white cliff thing with some ancient drawings on it, and then we do a 12km hike on one of the days. After that me and Miki are planning on going up to a little island and camping there for 2 nights, apparently this island is a must see as its so beautiful, so we're taking Jacks word for it as he is the expert!
Really looking forward to the trip, gonna head off now to buy a map of the Lake. The lake is pretty huge, and we're only staying on the west side about 6 hours drive away from Irkutsk. should be great tho, sure i will have lots of photos to put on here after that! Next entry will probably be monday or tuesday when we return from the lake, so until then.....
