Another lovely sunny day, and guess what- the shoulders look red, and an angry red at that! So I slathered myself up in preparation for the mountain - Table Mountain. The plan was to go up to the mountain, have a look around, get some good shots and then speed down to lunch at Moyo's.
As always, plans never go the way you think............ Uncle Michael drove us up towards 'Cable Way', and thought we had found a perfect parking space. We started walking towards where we presumed the cable cars departed from, but soon realised we had parked at the bottom of the beginning of the mountain, and we were gonna have to do some walking (and climbing!) to get to the top, which was through craggy rough terrain in the scorching African sun with temps of about 36degrees, not helped by cars whizzing past every 10 seconds! Man, it was hot and sweaty work, but we did it, only to be greeted by a massive queue snaking around, with a couple of umbrellas scattered around for shade
Eventually we reached the queue for the cable car, and got in. To say it was a little cozy in there would be an understatement, I was squashed in from all sides by BO ridden fat tourists, nice. But it was well worth it when we reached the top, the views were awesome with fab panoramics all around. After some sweaty walking around and admiring the views and the vegetation it was time for lunch, we'd missed out on Moyo's but the V & A waterfront seemed like a good option - man it was!! We ended up in some German place which served great beers and great scran. Nothing like a litre of cold beer when you've worked up a sweat eh.
The day was topped off by a trip to the aquarium, nice action.
