Today I managed to cram in quite a lot of sites - I was determined to get a load of things done so that I could chill out on my last day.
So off I toddled to Greenwich Village for a walk - the Lonely Planet guidebook had recommended this one, as it takes you round the places that the arty folk in NY have typically lived. And guess what - I actually liked this area!! The streets were really narrow and winding, not the typical grid iron pattern that you'd associate with NY.
The walk finished in Washington Square Park, which apparently is a haven for drug dealers, but I couldn't see any dodgy goings-on.
