Another day in the water on the Sounds

Well, woke up this morning to some lovely sunshine, and the prospect of another day on the Sounds in the boat. Awesome! The plan today was to take the boat down to a beach for a bit, then head to Portage where we could get some lunch, and then do a bit of wake boarding and take some goes on the biscuit...
The beach that we found was lovely - no one else in sight and the water was so clear and not cold at all. The sun was still shining and there was only a little breeze.
After lunch in Portage Paul was the first one up to try the wake boarding - he nearly managed to stand up, but the sea was getting a little choppy and the wind was picking up, so before we found a more sheltered spot we all took a turn on the biscuit. This is an inflatable thing that get attached to the boat and then pulled along, and you hold on to the side and sit on your knees - so much fun, especially when Rob went really fast and then zig zagged out of the wake and into the waves!! He said that he had never seen anyone hold on for as long as I managed too, which I was pretty happy with!! The worst bit had to be when I got thrown off - I'd forgotton how horrible salt water tastes.
Paul was up next, but because he is heavier, he got buffetted off after only a bit. Anna-Marie absolutely loved it, she was cackling like a witch on her go!
Sadly, the sea was just too choppy for more wake boarding so I didn't get to have a go at that.
The day was rounded off fantastically by another slap-up meal - roast chicken this time... Yummy!!
