It's not an exceedingly pretty city although it's not too bad.
We decided to take the chance to go round the Cadburys choc factory - hoping that it may be like Willy Wonka; yes a bit silly I know. Anyone it was pretty rubbish really, the best bits were probably the 'free' chocolate and the lovely smell of choc around the place
Remember when I said that I got a bottle dropped on my head in Wellington on the way to the rugby match? Well guess what happened in this club we were in.... A glass was dropped on my head!! Marvellous!! The bouncers were really nice about it, and tried to find the person who had done it, but they didn't get them - then the manager came out and apologised, and then offered me two free meals for the next day, which I exchanged for 3 pints of beer. Not bad. Until I was washing my hair in the morning and realised that I had lost a big clump of hair - I reckon the glass had smashed on my head and cut some off..... Only happens to me eh!!
We also did some wildlife things in Dunedin - we went over to the peninsula to see the rare penguins and also saw some disgusting sea lions - these just look like giant turds. Anyway, we walked about 20 minutes across the beach and up and down sand dunes to this hide where you can apparently watch the penguins come out of the sea.... We waited for about 20 minutes, trying to keep quiet as they are apparently easily scared. Nothing was in sight, so we just gave up. Halfway down the beach back to the car I spied something out of the corner of my eye - it was a penguin coming out of the sea about 2metres away from me!! I shouted to Lee and Kim to hide quickly, and did my best spy move by running and diving behind a bit of wood on the beach. I have to say that the penguin didn't seem at all bothered by the whole thing - not scared at all!
