And we made it back! The last place we were was Zilina, Slovakia which was a small city where Justin knows a high school girl who is on rotary exchange right now. We ended up just hanging out with her, walking around and eating in cafes.Zilina gave me a much better impression of Slovakia, as Bratislava was boring and had little character. We took a night train last night which ended up being 70 min late, and the rest of the train ride was just awful. We started out in a compartment all by ourselves, but soon three drunk guys joined us and once chastised us in Slovak about having been spread out across the compartment. He mumbled drunkenly to us for a long while before we decided to leave. AFter that it was a constant stream of people in an out of our compartment, so we got little sleep. Luckily we could sleep back in Prague. It's 12h30 now and we just woke up.

Before Zilina was Krakow, Poland which ended up being my favorite stop along our trip. Not sure why, but I love Poland. We went to Auschwitz early in the morning when our night train arrived. To get to Auschwitz from Krakow, a 1.5 hour bus trip is necessary. luckily there were two seats for us, otherwise we would have had to stand the whole way, as some did. The return trip to Auschwitz was on a city bus that stopped in every little Polish town along the way. It was a very long bus ride, but I enjoyed it because I saw much of the Polish countryside. It was gorgeous, and I will definitely return someday. Auschwitz was incredible, I payed for a guided tour which was definitely worth it. It is amazing how they've maintained both Auschwitz and Birkenau. Everyone who visits Poland should pay a visit here.

Now that we're in Prague, we're not sure what the plans are next. Justin has been storing a friend's suitcases in his flat, and while he hasn't had contact with her, he thinks she's flying out of Europe today... so we must wait here until we hear from here. If we can give her the suitcases soon, I'm hoping that we can make a daytrip south of Praha to two cities, Budejovice and Ceske Krumlov. Krumlov is a UNESCO site and apparently somewhere I can't miss. Budejovice is the city where Justin was an exchange student.

Well, a shower is definitely in order now, that train was cramped and dirty. I'll hopefully write again before the flight home!
