Well we set off from guesthouse at 7.00am, the minibus picked us up from the guesthouse and then proceeded to drop us off at another place to get another minibus, this minibus took us to another place where the bigger bus was, we waited around for around an hour, before they decided to start putting the bags on bus, and what with being as British as we are Saff and I waited patiently before we boarded and were lumbered with back seats, we had to clamber over all the bags in the gangway, before reaching our seats, and then we had a unsecure wall of bags behind our heads!!!
And so they journey began, or so we thought, we then had to stop for petrol, by the time we actually got on the sandy dusty road, it must have been about 10.30, nd you just think, I could have stayed in bed for another hour! DOH!!! So we carried on on our journey, Air conditioned bus on this occassion mean't Opening windows!!! So we travelling for around 6 hours from Siem Reap to the poipet boarder, the road was bad, but fun all the same as you never knew whe the next backpack would fall on Saffrons head! We made it to Poipet boarded at around 3pm ish and went through customs and waited for our connecting bus to Bangkok, this is when the luxury kicked in! We had the biggest bus in the world with aircon to make you shiver! It was lush, the thai woman even had the cheek to come upstairs and spray air freshner!! Honestly as if we smelt! So Fianlly arrived at Bangkok at around 10pm so it had been a flippin long day, chked into hotel, had shower then went for something to eat and drink before crash out!

Yay the day has arrived when we meet up with Laura and Duncan, so get up checked into the rainbow guesthouse only 200baht, and then head put to meet Saff and Sarah, met Saff and we went to meet Laura and Duncan who were not a stated destination, so we went for a bevvie. Evenutally Laura and Duncan had arrived at Gullivers at around 3.00pm so we had a drink with them and met up with Rick then we wne to check them into hotel, before heading out for some shopping andf drinking
Caught up with everything at home, and got my bank cards!!! Skippeeee my own money again!!! We went for dinner at Popiyang, and sat and had a few buckets, then headed down Khoasan Road, where we had more buckets and met spiderman!! We finally called it a night when there only Laura and left standing just before sunrise!
28 - 29/12/07
Got up checked out at 12pm and then went for food at Popiyang, we had a look around the shops and then I got my tattoo touched up, which bled like a bitch, before we settled at Joe's for a drink before catching the bus down to Koh Phangan! We got onto bus and again I ended up on backseat with Laura, Laura had no leg room at once the chinese girl reclined ( and she was tiny didn't really need to room) and I could not even touch to floor, by the time we stopped for the half way mark, Laura and my Ankles were nowhere to be found!!!, So painful!!! And Poor ole Laura got bitten to buggery!! Bless her and her 31 bites!
We eventually arrived at Surathani and had to wait for about an hour for the boat, and by the time we got on there we were like walking dead, just gripping onto life! The boat trip was about 3 hours in the end without a stop at Ko Samui! We arrived Thongsala and was great to be back, I could see a restaurant we used to frequent last year, The Green Restaurant, and looked forward to giving that another go!
