JUST A NOTE - Anyone who checks this site out, Fortuan Hotel, Hanoi, DO NOT BOOK BUS through them without them writing on your bus ticket what you have paid for ie SLEEPER BUS!!!
Now In Vietnam Free Internet and loving it, making the most, as leaving this hotel in a couple of days, so the story so far in Vietnam Well Vietnam is ace! The traffic here is horrendous, there are mopeds EVERYWHERE!!! Sort of never stick to the right side of the road and they just keep hooting, so you know they are coming, and you have move out of their way! Used to it now, proper lil Vietnamese now!! Finding our way round really well too!
Yesterday I was sat on internet and met this lad called Bjorn, he is travelling alone, so invited out with us, so we went for dinner at the Kangaroo Cafe, where we had massive dinners and large beers for a couple of quid!
Up this morning at 12.20pm oops missed the god dam free breakfast!! So went out and had toast and muffins, and then off to a couple of temples, no where near as nice as Thailand ones, bit shabby chic I would like to call them........ Then we went to the Hoa Lo Prison Museum, which was very moving and the sort of place Yvette and team form Most Haunted should go!! We then stopped for and ice cream in Fannys, well why wouldn't you!! We were going to go for Com flavoured (sticky rice) but just had Choc Mint, then a slow walk home. There is a water puppetry show on, so I took a walk down there, and they had sold out, will catch it tomorrow night. So went back to room to meet Saf and Sarah before we went to dinner. Went to a place called Red Apple, and had a Bun Cha, which was noodles, big fish cake, shredded carrot, peanuts, springs rolls and rice paper, I had to make up me own kinda a springs rolls using the other ingredients (cept spring rolls) and rice paper, as you can imagine, that was a bit of a mess, but was nice. The food here is not as nice as thailand, well actually it's nice, but not that spicy, I had a dish at Kangaroo that was chicken ginger and chilli n lemon grass, but alas no seeds in the chillis!! Tomorrow we are gonna go and book tickets for Train down to "Paul" Danang, where there is a surf competition, bet thats gonna be full of horrilble looking Oz Lads!!
Think we are gonna try a Baguette and Chocolat place tomorrow, best Pain Au Chocolat in the world apparently, for about 1p, gutted!!! It's weird we have been here since Sunday, we have already lost track of what day it is, and there is so much to come, skippeeee!!! Have put some photos on Facebook, so check em out!! Bought some sturdy new sandal things, Diesel, uh-huh defo real, got em on Rambutti in Thailand, and they lasted till yesterday, and they busted, (Helga's luck strikes again!) and because we could only bring 15kg of luggage to Vietnam, we dumped some of our stuff in a guesthouse holding wotsit until we get back to Thailand, and guess what, all my other 2 pairs of flips are in there, so I have fixed them, cunningly by using black plumbing tape................. So Rhiannon, they look sturdy, but thats tape holding them together!!! And not brilliantly either, keep tape and scissors on me at all times!!! Anyhoo, check out the photo's, load em while its free!!! Oh Sooz, was me P45 in with me wage slip? Hope everyone is ok back home..............................And other places...... Much Love Helga xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
