Well, I made it ALMOST the entire day without rain!  It started raining just as I pulled up to the motel  But it didn't last long, and all is dry (although humid) now.  Today was FUN!  I left LaFayette and headed for New Orleans.  For those of you who KNOW me - you KNOW how I HATED all the bridges - made a wrong turn coming into New Orleans, and ended up on this HORRIBLE us 90 bridge  - then had to turn around and come back across it to get back - and - get this - they CHARGED a toll to get back!  It just don't seem right.....  But New Orleans was a blast.  I wondered around the French Quarter, shopped, stopped at Cafe Du Monde and had beignets - which is 'the thing' to do in New Orleans - it is an open-air cafe.  Really nice.  Now, what to do with the stuff I bought - bike is jam-packed already.  No worry - I have bungies!!!!!   te he eh.  Unfortunately, I did not realize walking in that heat/humidity was getting to me till I got back to the bike - dizzy, headache - tell-tale signs of dehydration - well, a quart of gatorade and some icing down and I felt much better.  Off to Mobile.  Got checked in - gotta worry though - maybe not the best neighborhood when this is what you see on the inside of our hotel room door.  Went to find food and guess what I found?  FedEX - problem solved!  Stuff shipped back home.  Tomorrow should be fun  - I will make it to Florida to see the kids!  Really looking forward to it.....
