Arrived in the freezing cold Shandong Province, Yantai, and was picked up by Jack Liu, my Chinese contact/hero - my name was even on a sign as I came out of arrivals - classic! I was quickly whisked to where I will be staying until July. My place is on campus and I love it. I was expecting just a basic room - but it's more like a cool lttle flat. Living room with armchairs, mini fridge,water machine, washing machine (although no one knows how to use it) and coffee table, Bathroom with shower and bath etc.., but the best bit is my bedroom - double bed (never had one before so this is very exciting!), huge T.V. (although only Chinese channels but hey,it looks good), telephone, desk, table, cabinet, wardrobe, lots of space and... a computer with free internet so now I can bug you all with emails regularly! There was also a huge amount of bananas, apples and bread waiting for me?! Just spent first night unpacking and annoying people on MSN - because now I can - yay!
