Singapore is sooo good - do not understand why everyone says it's boring, too clean and sterile?? It's a really happening place and gorgeous! Clean but not in a psycho way - what's wrong with clean anyway?

Stayed at a really cool hostel - loadsa cool people and Tony is the best manager EVER - he knew everything and was really friendly. Had a little look round our area on our first evening; we went to a local bar - interesting is one word that springs to mind (dodgy would possibly suit better...) Fun night though.

On our first day we went to one of the technology centres and haggled with lots of pushy businessmen - after a long slog at it in various different shops we both settled on digital cameras (hence the sudden stash of pics - check em out!) - so cool! Then in the evening,Andrew (a guy we met in our hostel) turned tour guide and took us on a fantastic walk to see loads of the main sights. Took a lift to the top of Swiss Hotel for some amazing views; saw a light show at the World's Largest Fountain; saw the theatres and Raffles Hotel; the Merlion statue; Clifford Pier; the Ozzie bridge and then we had drinks at the bars along the Riverside. The buildings and architecture in Singapore is so unusual and magnificent; every building tries to be different from the rest and the result is an eccletic mix of stunning individual buildings. It really is a great sight; everything has had so much care and effort put in to it. Anyways, ended up in the bar with the best music after our crawl. Brilliant night - lots of banter then boogying! Us three ended up getting locked in at the end for free drinks and dancing with the staff - all songs at our request - can't complain!

Recovered around the hostel the next day - Tony took great pleasure in showing us our return from the night out on CCTV - very funny, thanks Tony! Not sure if Andrew made his plane either ... He was gone from the room, but no idea at what time - oops!

After our extrememly lazy day we definitely made up for it; Went for a little trek the next day up Mount Faber - great views, very pretty. Then took a cable car to Sentosa Island. Would have loved more time here but we did manage to squeeze in seeing Pink Dolphins showing off, the aquarium and a good cuppa. That evening we went to the Night Safari with Sebastian and James from our hostel. Got taken around in a little tram to see the lions, tigers, bears, deer, giraffe, rhinos etc... Also saw the 'Creatures of the Night' show which was cool - big snakes and crazy cat-like things doing cool stuff?!

The next day we headed off into Malaysia...
