After just one night in Melbourne which we basically spent sleeping, we got up nice and early to meet our tour group - "Ride tours with Todd" - ready to get going on the Great Ocean Road. It was tough getting up but oh so worth it - probably the best trip we've been on. The scenery was perfect and our group were all brilliant people - everyone got on so well.
So... Basic itinerary:
Lunch at Tower Hill where we spotted quite a few koalas and emus...
Then onto various lookout points: Bay of Islands, Bay of Martyrs (hung out on the beach here for awhile), the Grotto and London Bridge... All very wonderful...
A BBQ at our fabulous hostel...
Then there was lots of drinking and chatting to be done at the hostel before we all got asked to move along so we trundled off to the only pub in town - a great night!
The next day...
Loch Ard Gorge... climbed into a cool cave (and nearly lost a flip flop)
An amazing helicopter ride over the Twelve Apostles...
A rainforest walk at Maits Rest...
Lunch in the seaside town of Apollo Bay...
Then chilling at Bell's Beach where the finale to 'Point Break' was filmed...
And then sadly it was time to head back to Melbourne...

In a tree,,,
To the Twelve Apostles for sunset - I got extremely snap happy here as it was so breathtakingly beautiful so prepare to yawn yourself through quite a few scenic shots (although every now and then I promise you a funny one will pop up, "You're an animal" etc...)Then there was lots of drinking and chatting to be done at the hostel before we all got asked to move along so we trundled off to the only pub in town - a great night!
