Ten days to go.
I am woefully underprepared. I still don't have walking shoes or a washbag but I am hoping a trip to Go Outdoors tomorrow will solve that little issue.
I have everything that I want to take with me spread out on the floor and I am getting a little worried that it won't fit in my backpack. It will just have to though because I am not going bigger than 55l. I suppose that this is where the old travelling adage comes in - "Lay out everything that you are taking. Now take away half the clothes and double the amount of money." I have been fairly conservative with the what I am planning to take with me, but I can see that some of it will be ending up back in the wardrobe.
I am currently filling my little Zen with a multitude of films and telly. As much as I love the thought of two 3-day train journeys in the space of eight days, I am sure that being able to immerse myself in a series of Malcolm in the Middle might just save my sanity by the afternoon of day two.
