I decided that I needed a week off being a backpacker and some sleep! so I booked into the splurge recommendation in the lonely planet and slept for 3 days solid more or less.  Nice place with a TV in the rooms.  So not a lot of news except that I walked around the city one day and it was nice enough...I was prepared for the worst I must admit, but how could you not like a place where every second shop is a shoe shop!  That was pretty much it as every day the monsoons started between 11.230 and 12.30 and didnīt stop until it was dark, which is a no-no in SJ.  In spite of all that I was all set to join a Spanish class on monday, when I was invited to have some beers with a group of Spanish people that arrived
