We stopped in Vlora, by the sea on our trek to find the "virgin Albanian beaches" we had read about, and we weren"t too encouraged by this place. There is a slight (major under statement) rubbish problem in Albania as you can see in the photo... er... virgin beaches, I think not. The system of clearing up is to rake all the rubbish into a pile and burn it, old CFC plastic bottles included. No wonder there was a strange smell about the place...
