We went to Mostar in Bosnia for the day, an important town in the Balkan war of the 90s. Its a really old town with Muslim and Catholic communities on different sides of the bridge. The war damage is still really evident in Bosnia and the countryside was beautiful, as all the Balkan states we visited. The bridge was destroyed in 93 and rebuilt as a symbol of peace last year. There are local high divers who swan dive into the glacial waters once they collect 25 Euro in a hat, real throat in mouth feeling as they plummet head first...
