Filled up with gas then took highway 73 and travelled from Christchurch through Arthurs Pass, Greymouth and up the Western coast to Westport a total of 360 kms. The weather was sunny and 28 C but the further west we went the cloudier it got. When we arrived 6 hours later it was drizzling and dull. We stopped for coffee en route and saw a Kea. We had done a large part of this trip before but it opened our eyes as to what we had missed. We booked into our motel very tired, Laura cooked a curry and we relaxed.
