Flying with Air Asia it was an adventure, their tickets are cheap, particularly if you  buy them  well in advance, which we didn't, the catch is they only allow you 15 Kg free then it is 4us dollars per extra kg. I had 30 plus so have to get very creative to manage not to pay. I did it,  but it was very stress full and have to argue for over 30 minutes since they also gave us the wrong info over the phone, in any event we arrived in Jakarta only for a night and then a plane to Bali.
The entrance also was a little bit difficult because I only had one way ticket and my return from Bangkok was over 30 days from my entrance in Indonesia, nevertheless the immigration officer was very pleasant and final after all the other ones told him to cut it out he let me in
We were gladly surprised, the city is very modern, fairly clean, even that it is mainly Muslim, the people are very friendly and open minded, big change from Malaysia. We tour around for a while and took the flight to Bali, this time the people of Air Asia were not very aggressive as far as their policy goes so it went smoothly

Homework for You!?!
Hey, If you run across the Lads, Mikes, Johnny's et.al. that have the hands on observations of years of watching Lionfish, pick up as much as you can, plz: like any observed predators or parasites etc. They are definitely beginning to decimate fish populations and take out other things, crustaceans etc. (For them it's shooting fish in a barrel here. Also so far they are already reaching up to a 100cm more that in native areas and who knows how much more our Jurassic Park enviroment will take them (491cm. Lad has collected and tagged, areas that had 20, two years ago now have 200, they may be spawning as much as once a month here, still studying all that. Anyway take care! Have Fun!
