The mood was not the best cause news from home, nothing mayor but enough to bring a cloud. It was the last day of diving in Tao, but mainly thinking about the next leg of the trip, On the way to the reef reports of the big one, as always we are too late, we had to go back to the original site. An instructor with over 4500 dives living for the last 7 years in the island tells me that he only saw about 20 . My dive master told me it would have been nice to see it on your last day but ......
Two divers to the water, my friend David is ready to jump, this was his first dive as a DM an I was his first customer, the captain's eyes lighted up like a christmas tree, I told him to wait, it was back, divers are back on board, on the way to the new location the captain runs over the reef, (Tim, Mike and the rest of you guys do not try this one please) no worries this is Thailand.
Finally on  site I saw on the surface a hughe fin at the same time people were saying there it is!!!!! Fck it I jumped, screw David and the rest!!
The next half hour probably was the best I ever had underwater, the only day so far that we had 60 feet vis and I am diving with 21 to 28 feet long WHALE SHARK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow I have to  take the night ferry to Surathani, avoid it like the plague, the town is the only unfriendly one in Thailand and people always try to take advantage of you, the night ferry is 120 matresses 2 feet wide one next to the other with dirty sheets and smelly and no other place to go.
Next will be Malaysia.........

OH MY GOD!!!
A Whale Shark!!! Way too cool for you! I remember when we saw the manta you said the only other creature you have not seen yet was a whale shark, well there you have it! GOOD FOR YOU!

I must say, I do enjoy reading your stories. It is like having our very own Indiana Jones! I hope you are having a fabulous time and I can't wait to hear all the stories first hand when you get home. Which is when by the way?

Sad news from home? I hope everything is ok. If Cheryl needs something, PLEASE have her give Jer and I a call and we will be there in an instant!

Take care of you and stay safe

Good to Hear From You!
Almost left a message last night on your pod about Hector missing in action. Was going to start putting your picture on milk cartons! But just before they hit print I get your news about Whale Shark Diving! Understandbly hitting the water asap! Tue buddies expect no less!! Sounds like some rough water, you can fill me in later on that. Anything I can do in the mean time let me know. Went out Saturday AM with Q. Cindy, Sarah and I for Sarah's last certication dives with Jason. Water temp up to 76- 77 finally may switch suits now to 3mm. Keep us up to date! Argentinian Jones! Watch out for the mattresses!
