It was supposed to be the most beautiful island on earth, the scenery is spectacular, butterfly shaped with high hills as wings and in the center 2 flat narrow bays opposing each other. Unfortunately it is not a backpacker mecca as it used to be. Now you have resort after resort with thousand of tourist destroying the island and prices skyrocketing. Gypsy Village was not a great place to stay, but it was a little bit more quiet than the rest, unless you choose to climb the hills all day long.
There is  a viewpoint at 186 meters with a breathtaking overlook  of the whole island, finally peace and quiet, only a few tourists climb this high, which is great because I had the chance to see some wild monkeys playing around.
After only one night I decided to get out of here. next stop will be Koh Tao.

OH BUMMER!
Sometimes progress just sucks! Look what is happening here in the Keys. This bridge and new highway is just going to make it easier and faster for people to get here and destroy our little paradise.

I hope your next stop is more peaceful and pleasant.
