It was a great flight, very good meals and service, even they waited for me with signs with my name to let me know where to go to change planes. Koreana and Asiana Airlines both excellent.
When I arrived to Bangkok they were waiting for me to let me know that my bag was coming on the next flight and they will deliver it to my room, which save me a lot of walking since  the places that I choose to stay were full and I had to call on the phone from the airport to book a room.
I took the AE2 bus to Khao San Rd. for  150 baht , great ride with a-c and in 45 minutes, this is the way to go if you are there before midnight.
I took a room at Green House for 430 baht,  private, with a-c and hot water clean place with helpful personnel.
While I waited for my backpack I was talking to a guy from Spain and we ended the night watching soccer , having beer and laughing till 4.30 Am, not a bad beginning.
As any big city Bangkok is noisy, polluted and chaotic, with stalls everywhere selling everything that you can imagine  and very cheap, food, clothing, massages, sex, booze you name it. Certain areas look like somebody built a city inside a market no the other way around.
People are lovely, always smiling and telling you whatever to help and  please  you.
I went sightseeing and it was marvelous for me, the weather like I like it hot and steamy and getting hotter and humid!!!, every place has a particular enchantment and most are within walking distance, again if you like to walk like I do, otherwise in this heat it is brutal
This is a list of some of the places I visited, for complete details please google it, otherwise it will take me forever, also you will have great pictures , which I do not, believe it or not, I DON'T TAKE PICTURES,sorry Juan Manuel...

others that I visited I do not know the name, it was written in Thai, besides it seems to be a Wat next to the other and better and with superior craftsmanship.
On my second day in town I went to the bus station to get my ticket to Khao Lak,
visit Chinatown which it seems to be more organized and a little bit more expensive than Khao San but mainly I hated to see almost in every restaurant shark's fins!!!!
Across from Grand Palace there is this beautiful park called SARANROM ROYAL GARDENS , people of all ages play soccer, do aerobics, yoga, run, walk, relax etc. etc. Great use of park !!!!!!!! and the setting was outstanding.
For dinner I went back to the stalls of Rambuttri for a great and unexpensive meal only 20 baht
