I was lucky to spend 2 whole days doing nothing much on the banks of the White Nile. After driving hard to Rwanda and back, a couple days off was welcome. Jinja is near the source of the Nile and a great place to spend Christmas. I would highly recommend it to people interested in rafting. I didn't go but wish that I would have. It looked like a ton of fun. I'll have to come back someday.
We had a pig on a spit and a gift exchange on Christmas. It wasn't the same without the snow.
After Jinja we headed to Sipi Falls. We spent the night there and I had the opportunity to go on a hike to see the falls. Lonely Planet calls them the most "romantic" falls in Uganda. I don't know about that. They were beautiful though.
