Andorra

We took a 6.00 am bus for a day trip to discover the little country of Andorra sandwiched between Spain and France. It has some of the most dramatic scenery of huge mountains and is popular as a cheap place for Europeans to ski and shop. We had been holding off buying a few things we needed until our Andorra visit. We bought a new camera as our old one had been dropped and the shutter gears were not working. We also bought a MP3 player with mini speakers for an amazing 30 Euros. Unfortunately the instructions were in Spanish but we´ve had some great help from a busabout friend (thank you Theresa!) in downloading some music and learning how to use it.
Andorra is pretty unique in that the still advertise cigarettes on big bill boards and cartons of cigarettes are offered for sale with inducements like perfume and watches. Unfortunately everyone seems to smoke everywhere! It is difficult to eat a meal without someone blowing smoke in your direction. It is rather difficult when we are used to the consideration shown by our friends at home who smoke.
