Nice is the capital of the Riviera and the beautiful Cote d Azur. When people speak of štaking the South of France optionš when terminally ill you can see why. We had visited Nice for 5 days in 1999 but it will always be a great place to visit. The food is amazing and hours can be idled away walking along the promenade of the Bay of Angels and exploring the old city. We stayed in the same hotel as last time, the Antares, very noisy as it is opposite the railway station, but cheap, clean and central. After a few days of relaxing Riviera style it was on the bus again and off to Barcelona, Spain via Avignon in France.
