What a beautiful city Vienna is! Lots of buildings look like fancy wedding cakes. We teamed up with a fellow Australian, Wez and the three of us went out to see the city. Some of the highlights were the doing a tour of the world famous Vienna Opera house and the Hofburg Palace with its amazingly Sumptuious Kaiserapartments. We then decided we should get out into the country a bit as we had an all day pass for the city transport and try and find the wine growing area. We spent a hilarious 3 hours or so riding he trains quite lost but finally finding our way to the city outskirts and just glimpsing some vineyards, having a meal then heading back into the city again. We got off the underground where a huge outdoor screen was set up and lots of chairs. It was a free screening of a recent Berlin Symphony orchestra performance and we enjoyed the cultural experience before heading back to our hostel for a well earned rest after a busy day.
