Finally it was time to leave on our trip. Dustyn and Shashana came to see us off at the airport and there was a bit of drama when Avan's glasses got totally squashed in the security machine and temporarily left behind. Luckily he realised before we left Perth, reclaimed them and then bent them back into almost the right shape! Our first stop was Sydney - just a four hour airport layover and time to spend our last few Aussie Dollars.
