I'm finally moved in to my apartment.  I was a little scared for the move because Andrew, the previous resident, told me about the problems he had had.  But, I've finally been able to make it home and I think with a little more work it will actually be very comfortable.  First, let me say, I'm living at a place called the Livingtel. So basically, it is a hotel that people live in.  I'm on the 6th floor, but the good news is that I am in between the elevators, so i don't have neighbors beside me.  I also have a "balcony" but i don't know if I'm allowed to go out on it or not.  The door locks with a code, so I am the only one that knows how to get in and out and I never have to remember my key.  Its so wierd not having any keys.  When I got in, a gas "engineer" was there to hook up my gas line so that they could install my new stove.  By stove they mean cook top, but it's very nice.  I don't have an oven though. I am planning on borrowing one of the other teachers' because he has two now.   In Korea you must take your shoes off when you get into a home.  I have a small tiled section to take off shoes and a shoe cabinet to store them in

.  The other half of the cabinet I am using to hold my toiletries because I get ready there instead of in the bathroom.  The bathroom floor is always wet because it is also the shower and laundry room.  The shower is probably the worst part.  It is basically just a shower head on a hose that sits above the sink.  The water isn't very warm after about 10:30am.  I also had a dirty old toilet seat, so I bought a new one.  I spent about 3 hours bleaching the entire apartment and I feel much better in it now.  No offense to Andrew, I'm sure he was very clean.  I've come up with a new system for showering.  I bought a small tub to sit in and I poured hot water in it from my water maker and then started my shower.  That really helped.  :-D  See, all you have to do is be creative.  Also, the heat only comes on three hours a day, so I have a heat fan to help the temperature. 

So take a look at the pictures and let me know what you think.  Its nice having the other teachers in the same building because it gives me someone to hang out with and someone to ask all of my questions to when I get completely lost.  Oh, and the last best part is that I made drawers out of baskets and slid them under my bed.  I am completely organized!!!
