For a short time I did get on a bit of a doing things bender,  I went on a camping trip to Maya Bay (THE BEACH beach), which was marvellous - there were about 25 of us all up, we sailed in, did a spot of snorkelling on the way in (which was amazing - such fantastic marine life!!), played drinking gaames after dinner, and then did a bit of night swimming and so on and so forth. I spent hours and hours and hours in the water, just like in the movie, (yea, I watched it at the little movie bar for a refresher after going to Maya..) there were plankton in the water, and when you move, they glow!!  It was the craziest thing, and I LOVED them, I had a great time in there!! I was in a 70s music video wearing an amazing glittery suit (singing michael jackson to myself at this stage) and then i discovered you could float in the water and look at the stars..and because you were moving and disturbing the plankton, they were all glittery, and it felt like looking into a giant mirror - both the sky and the water so dark, but punctuated by pin pricks of was very very cool.

I planned to learn Thai cooking, and to dive, but was always of the thinking Id be on Phi Phi for ages and I would do it at a later stage..WEll, I was there for ages, but didnt quite get around to it..I figure they will happen elsewhere.. I got my lip pierced, I made a bunch of fantastic friends, and learnt loads of Thai..

I went on a wee excursion with a friend to Krabi, then Nakhon Si Thammarat (where his family lives) and had an awesome time in the countryside, sitting in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of thai boys who built and lit a fire and brewed up an alcoholic concoction using coca cola, leaves from a local tree, cough syrup (!) and ice..ah i felt like a classy woman that night!! Thing is, to get the the fire bit we had to cross a very dodgy bridge - four bits of tree trunk not lying in the most parallel manner.. When we eventually left, it was so dark, and the 'soup' had gone to my head after getting up, so i had MAJOR issues trying to stop my legs from shaking when it came to crossing the river (shame on my family....)..

Returning to Koh Phi Phi, I realised that my visa was going to expire in a week (as opposed to a month..)  So, I decided it was time to move on, sadly my time on Phi Phi had come to an end...
