Okay, seriously, this Grey's habit is out of control.  Either that or it just felt really good to be at sea and know that you didn't have class the next day, and that day happened to be a Saturday.  They gave us Neptune Day off of classes, which meant I had a whole extra day to catch up on journals and write my port papers.  So, being the incredibly diligent student I am, I spent all of Friday watching Grey's Anatomy.  Katie and I calculated.  We watched it for seven hours yesterday.  I'm a little embarrassed to even write that down, but it's true.  But those of you who know how much I like my West Wing and my Dr. Quinn know that when I am into a show, if there's a chance for me to watch it I take it.  After classes, I went to lunch and did homework while I waited for Katie to get out of her class so we could watch it.  I didn't expect it to turn into seven hours, but the second episode we watched turned out to be one in a series of three to-be-continued's, and we all know how patient I am so of course we had to watch those.  And then after we had dinner, George (who is completely in love with Meredith who of course doesn't know, and is also one of Meredith's roommates) tells Meredith that he loves her and they sleep together.  And because it's quality television, they sleep together at the end of the episode so you have to watch the next one to find out how badly it turned out to be.  That's how it turned into a day in bed watching Grey's for six hours.  Finally, around 8:30, Lauren came in and told us we had to get out of the room and go do something, so I suggested we go up to the top deck, grab a beer because after all, it was Friday and we didn't have class on Saturday, and do some homework.  And we did.  She drank a glass of wine, I had a Skol (they brought some of the Brazilian beer on board for us!), and we wrote papers.  Well, not exactly.  We started writing papers, but everyone around us was getting pretty tipsy so they wanted to chat.  We ended up hanging out until around midnight, when Lauren got tired and went to bed and I went up to the dining hall and actually started writing my paper.  I just amaze myself sometimes.  Really.  I don't do homework on Thursday night because I want to watch Grey's, I watch Grey's all day Friday afternoon and evening, but when everyone else is out at the pool on a Friday night around midnight starting to feel nice and happy after their four beers, I decide to start writing my paper.  But looking back, I spent many a Friday night in high school doing homework after getting home from cheering at the football games.  I guess some things just never change.
