Actually arrived at out hotel about an hour ahead of schedule. We were lucky to get a room that was ready. They were sold out!!
It was beautiful, sunny and very hot when we arrived at about 3pm. The plan was to relax shower and head over to the Forsyth Park where I had planned all along to propose to my beautiful Luba.
Unfortunately as soon as we checked in and showered up it start to rain....hard!! I looked out the window praying that the weather would break. I had the entire afternoon planned out!!! The weather in did break after about a half hour. I decided that instead making the twenty minute walk to the park's fountain, we would call cab just in case it started to rain again
When Luba and I got to the park and found out way over to the fountain (see pics) it started to rain a little. I knew I had to make this fast. I was lucky that the photographer I and made arrangements with showed up. He acted like a passer-by when I asked him to take a photo of Luba and I.
After handing him my camera and posing for a picture, I turned to Luba and as planned dropped to one knee and proposed to Luba. The pictures tell the whole story. Success, she said YES..
After we parted ways with the photographer the sky opened up and it poured...Luckily the cab driver stuck around and was only a second or two away when I called him. After returning the hotel we dried off and got ready for dinner.
Luba and I ate at the Olde Pink House right next store to the hotel. A restaurant my friend, Paul suggested. We had great food and a bottle of wine. We went back to our room drunk and full. After a nap my headache went away and we decided to go for a walk
Day two in Savannah was just as fun!! Luba arranged a trolley tour and a river dinner cruise later in the day. We spent the day learning about Savannah, shopping eating and ended our day with a sit down dinner on a river boat. No pictures of the dinner cruise. Neither of us brought a camera!!
This morning we were up at 345am. I took Luba to the Savannah airport on the Harley. I didn't want to see her go. It as been an amazing adventure with her. Cant wait to get home!!! Ive headed west!
