7am Luba and I were up and packed ready to head south towards Richmond, Va. for the night. When I went to the garage to pull the bike out the door was locked. Being too lazy to go find a key I decided to pull out my knife. Yay…I can finally justify buying this stupid knife. Well, I cut myself…severely.
After a short ride in the ambulance to the hospital and six stitches later I was sort of ready to ride except I had no feeling in my left hand and a cast from my elbow down to my thumb.
When I got back to the house we finished packing up the bike half expecting to grab a hotel for the night delaying out trip a day.
After about thirty minutes I started to regain feeling in my hand so like a true roadie I ripped off the cast and convinced Luba that I was okay and it was safe to get on the bike. Only half convinced she agreed to climb on and we headed south.
Our first stop of the day was Washington DC. We met up with Luba's god-mother, Roma. Roma treated us to a wonder full lunch at a restaurant called Clyde’s. After lunch, Luba and I headed over to the mall to finally visit the Vietnam Memorial Wall. As always it was a moving experience.
From Washington, Luba and I loaded up and headed to our final destination, Richmond Virginia.
