After cleaning up the various snow-caused messes around our RV this morning, we checked out of our RV park late and went to the Yellowstone IMAX movie in West Yellowstone.  By the time we emerged (not terribly impressed with the movie, mind you), the clouds had cleared and it had turned into a lovely afternoon!  That made me feel a bit disappointed then that we couldn't see more of the park in the nice weather, because the new plan was to leave Yellowstone for Helena to see my aunt, uncle and cousin who live there.  My mom, dad and sister had also flown in from the L.A. area for a mini family reunion, so we couldn’t have arrived too late anyway.  But Jim said the weather should turn nice and stay that way for several days after we got done there, so I suppose we will be back soon enough.

Anyway, once we got on the road I felt much better because the scenery was so pretty that seeing it in the sunshine was quite worth it!  We were also starving close to dinnertime so we looked online for any place with good reviews and found Wheat Montana, the most wonderful farm/bakery/deli that grows their own grains and bakes their own bread for supremely fresh sandwiches!  Now, had this been Mammoth it would have closed at 4:30 PM, but no, in Montana they stay open until 8:00 PM!  We were terribly impressed.

When we arrived they were literally right on our freeway AND they had a truck-stop sized gas station and parking lot.  The place was built just for us.  I ordered a "John Deere Green" sandwich (veggie) with “guacamole ranch” dressing, which was AMAZING.  Jim had roast beef which he said rivaled Schat’s Bakkery in Mammoth!  Best of all, they have several other locations all around the state, so I’m sure we will eat there again before our visit is over.

Highlight of the Day:
Eating nice cold ice cream in the middle of nowhere while stopped for a construction pilot car to guide us further down the road.  Can't do that on a plane or car trip!  :D
