Our townhouse is really nice, we all excitedly explored it and the kids went swimming in our small backyard pool while I ran out to pick up some groceries. Jon was the hero for making sure the kids were all showered by the time I got back. After a quick dinner of make-your-own tacos, where we discussed our plans for tomorrow, the kids went to bed. Naturally as soon as they got settled, a thunderstorm came through and freaked out Joey and Rebekah a bit. But no doubt some of it is the excitement of the day.
Tomorrow - EPCOT!!
After a fairly long drive yesterday (7 1/2 hours), we had a fairly easy day today, with only 4 hours left to drive. The kids were very hyped up and greeted our cross into Florida with much cheering. We were snacking in the car and decided to drive through without stopping for lunch. We went straight to Downtown Disney to the delight of the kids, and after oohing and aahing over the giant Lego figures at the Lego store, we grabbed a heavy snack at about 3:30. Suddenly the grumpies and whinies turned to smiles. Key takeaway: don't let the kids get too hungry! We stopped at a pin shop and all 4 kids picked out pins to trade with Disney cast members. What a great idea! A relatively cheap souvenir, and the kids are really looking forward to trading. An overly enthusiastic pin trader gave us the ins and outs.
