Suki's reception party
We were all feeling pretty tired this morning, Danny and I were first to get up, and had already eaten breakfast by the time the other two came round. The amount of shoes they have brought along on their trip is obscene! (see pic) why do guy's need so many shoes? I can't really criticise them though, I'm just as bad when it comes to shoes. It was Suki's reception party today, but I also had another party to attend. I did try and get out of the other one but, well it's that whole 'you have to come, no matter what' Indian thing. Gagan and Soma came to the hotel around 12.30 to pick me up to go to the other party, the rest of the lads made their way Suki's party and I met up with them later. I made an appearance at the first party and then made my way over to Suki's around 1.30pm
There were not as many people as yesterday, but that's probably a good thing today as most of us were still getting over yesterday. There was a nice chilled out atmosphere at the party. Things on the dance floor were not really doing it for any of us until I got my phone plugged into the DJ gear and played some of our tracks. We had a great time today and the guys performed freestyle routine. I tried my hand at being the 'potowala' (photographer), it wasn't long before I had my own little 'tharanwala' (the larry who walks around with the cable), Anil. LOL(see pic).
The party was done by 5pm and we made our way back to the hotel. Anil had to get to Ludihana, to do the whole family thing, so we got the taxi to drop us off along the way and after an emotional goodbye (not) by the roadside, we got into a rickshaw for the rest of the journey. It was a sad day for Ajee today, Birmingham City lost to Albion in the relegation playoff's and will be going down one division next season. In the evening Jagtar and his brother came over to the hotel to try and watch the Liverpool Vs Blackburn game, but for some reason we didn't get the game on our TV, so we ended up going down the road to Pizza Hut. We only managed to see 10 minutes of the game but it was enough for the diehard fans. After food we came back to the hotel, everyone was feeling blasted and we were talking about getting and early night, but it's now 1am and I'm here still burning music onto my Powerbook...
