Our drive up to Villavicencio with Marcos and Pablo was a lovely one. They had offered us the opportunity of going with them which was great, from the point of view of both getting to know some Argentinians and also the fact that it is difficult to get a trip there from Uspallata.

It took about an hour to complete the journey and took us up to a high point of 3100m with a great view of the Andes, especially Aconcagua. We then drove down an exceptionally windy road to the small village iteself. Once there, we saw the disused Hotel de Termas and the viewpoint down the valley.

Afterwards we had a fine lunch of chivito and wine, and our waiter Roberto was a top lad. Belongs on the stage. Very Bruce Forsyth.
