Sullivan Bay this morning. We took an early morning Panga ride to look for Penguins but had no luck! We then went hiking on the lava flows which form a large chunk of Santiago island. Very cool.

We then went back to the boat for some deep water snorkeling. Saw great speckled star fish and two giant turtles. It is amazing how graceful they are in the water compared to how clumsy and slow they are on land. Steve did a dive down to about 55 feet, and saw two giant turtles swimming over his head!

Went to the beach on Bartolome island to swim in the afternoon. Snorkeled around the beach and swam with a real-life actual PENGUIN!!! This made Tara's day, if not her entire trip.

After we dried off and Tara calmed down from her penguin swimming, we hiked up to the summit of Bartolome island for some stunning panoramic views A penguin! Yippee! A penguin!

We also had a sea lion adopt our boat as his home today while recuperating from a shark bite. We named him Charlie - so cute.

Had another nice evening hanging out with our shipmates on the open deck of the ship underneath a clear starry night's sky.

DAILY FACTS

- Stayed on: The Eden, Santiago and Bartolome Islands, Galapagos.
