Began the day on Floreana Island. Went for a hike at Punta Cormorant to see flamingos and some giant stingrays. Spent some time on a gorgeous white sand beach, which was all very lovely until Raul told us the white sand is a product of the white coral that the birds eat and then proceed to poo out! Nice!

Went snorkeling at "Devilīs Crown", a rocky area just off the coast of Floreana. It was hard work with the strong current. That, coupled with the name of the place and the sharks swimming below it was a little unnerving for a novice snorkeler like Tara.

We had some fun swimming with a few sea lions before drying off and heading inland to Post Office Bay, a great place where "pirate post" is still used. You look through the barrel to see if there are any postcards near to where you will be in the near future so you can take and deliver them by hand A pretty elaborate set up

. In turn, you leave your messages for future travelers to post for you. Let's see if those kids in Tottenham ever do get their special letter. Unfortunately, we had to send letters because we didn't do much forward planning and hence didn't buy postcards before the cruise began.

We ended the day in the bright lights of the "big city" of Santa Cruz (literally about 3 streets). We walked the strip (took 5 mins) then had a drink and headed back to the boat.

Another busy day!
