Huehuetenango is the first town you come to on the highland route from Chiapas, and market center for the surrounding countryside. Like San Cristobal on the Mexican side in Chiapas, this is one of the most colorful and exotic parts of Guatemala, where even the men dress as traditionally as the women.  They also sell hand-made cigarettes here, so I stock up on some of those.  Todos Santos is one of the most exotic of nearby towns, but to this day I've never been there.
