Day One Eighty-Seven
Entry 83 of 119 | show all | print this entry |
de San Quintin, about one hundred and fifty miles south of Ensenada, wasn't a planned stop but it was starting to get dark and I was tired of driving so Zoobley and I checked into the overpriced Motel San Carlos at Muelle Viejo. Our room had a good view of the small bahia but the owner only turns on the electricity from 5:00 PM until midnight and there was a loud group of aging California surfer dudes next door all with donkey laughs (apparently they had consumed enough beer to think that just about everything was funny). The attached Old Pier Restaurant was devoid of patrons and had the look of a place that hasn't been popular since the 1960s so I had a snack and turned in early.
