Day Twelve

Zoobley and I decided to spend the day in Shreveport to do laundry (no I haven't warn the same clothes everyday for the last two weeks although I have been tempted) and check out the State Fair of Louisiana. We discovered by chance that a Bass Pro Shop store in town had one hard top cargo carrier in stock so we scurried on over to pick it up. Unfortunately we didn't have the tools necessary to install it but Don the maintenance man at Bass Pro Shops very kindly took an hour out to help us. You never know where the next good thing will come from.
The State Fair of Louisiana was a big disappointment. It's about a quarter the size of the Tennessee fair and not much but rides and food vendors. Zoobley started acting really strange when we got to the midway so we cut the trip short and headed back to the La Quinta. I think all the loud noises, screaming kids, and dropped hot dogs were just enough to put her over the edge. We spent the rest of the day doing laundry, repacking, and trying to decide where to go next. Will it be North, South, East, or West? Will we need swim trunks or snow shoes?
